Customers often require padding repairs to their sofas after a period of time using their sofas causes their cushions to condense. Lack of padding in cushions can often cause customers to suffer from back pain. Mostly it can result in sitting down being extremely uncomfortable and feeling like your sinking into a hole. Unfortunately the lack of padding in seat base cushions especially can also lead to further damage.
One example of this could be stitching damage as the foam inside not holding you up causes the leather to dip with you when you sit and pulls on the stitching on the seams. Another example could be springs or webbing snapping as a result of the strain being put on them as they now are taking the weight of which the foam would usually hold. In order to restore the padding in the seat and back cushions the technician will begin by flipping the sofa over and gaining access to the underside.
Following this the technician will remove the two feet from the bottom two corners of the sofa.
After this the technician will remove the staples from the dustcover on the bottom of the sofa using a braddle and pliers. The technician will remove the staples along the bottom and up the sides.
Once the technician gains access to the inside of the sofa the technician will remove the bolts and disconnect the seating area from the back. Again the technician uses the braddle and pliers to remove pliers to remove the covers on both the back and seating areas to gain access to the cushions. The technician will then fill the cushions with dacron filling.
After all the cushions are filled the technician will pull the covers back into place and secure them with staples using a staple giun. Now that the cushions are filled and the covers fitted the technician will re attach the seating area to the remainder of the sofa frame with the bolts earlier removed. Once the sofa is back together the technician will re attach the dust cover to the bottom of the sofa using a staple gun.
Lastly the technician will re attach the feet and flip the sofa back to upright position.
