Alternatively to springs the inside of your sofa may be webbing. This webbing is an elasticated material that should it be strained can snap. The webbing may be strained due to the seat base cushion failing and extra pressure being put on the webbing as a result.

Due to the webbing being snapped there is no support holding up what remains of the cushion. This can leave you feeling as though you are sitting in a hole. In order to gain access to the the webbing the technician will begin by flipping the sofa over. Next the technician will remove the dust cover on the bottom of the sofa. After the inside of the sofa is reached and the problem is determined the technician will remove the snapped pieces of webbing.

Any pieces that are snapped entirely or have significant wear that may lead to the webbing failing at a later point are also removed. Once the damaged pieces have been removed the technician will fit the new pieces of webbing. The end of the roll of webbing is secured to the wood frame using a staple gun. After the end is secured the technician will follow the pattern of the existing webbing and thread the webbing over and under until the end is reached. Now the technician will pull the webbing tight to establish tension in the support of the cushions. Lastly the technician will secure the webbing to the frame with a staple gun and then will cut the webbing from the roll. This will be repeated where necessary.
After the webbing is replaced the technician will re attach the dust cover to the bottom of the sofa and return the sofa to an upright position.
